Quickly becoming one of my fave Limias  . Unfortunately the shipment got chilled (wet heatpack) and I lost the males, but I did get a shot of one before that. He's not well but you can certainly see the potential.

Pardon our poo - its the only decent shot I have :Embarassing: . The male's body is normally covered in a beautiful blue/mauve sparkle.

Luckily the females were prehit. Here's a Mom and some fry:

I figure I have around 25 fry, give or take. :D Surely some have to be male....

great looking fish Melody.. I can't say as I have ever seen these guys before. This site has opened a whole new world to me on the facinating world of livebearers.

Glad the females were pre-hit before the passing of the males. 15 fry should give you great odds in getting a male.

Thanks  . I call my Aqualog my Catalogue - I want most of them....lol. Can't wait for the Spring shipment.

They're tough fish - never had a prob with the females. They need to be moved to a bigger tank but I've kept them in the 10G to make sure I got all of the fry. The females are very husky - broad and large. Much more broad than Mollies. I think they'll be much happier in a larger tank.

One of the females looks to be advanced in another pregnancy so hopefully I'll get more. :D

They certainly do, now that mine has given birth, she has regained her girlish figure, but she's still considerably larger than the male.

Seems to be the way with alot of livebearers.

Nice fish. Too bad you lost the males, hoping some of the fry turn out to males for you.
Stop showing me livebearers that I have never heard of.

LOL I'll know if I have males or not by the time we do our Spring trade.... ;) .

I really should focus on down East soon actually - most of the Livebearers go to people closer to me so quickly that they're not getting spread out much.
