Fish on Prozac... maybe it'll help them cope. After all, in one way or another, humans activity has had serious negative impact on fish for a long time. Thankfully, fish are resiliant creatures who somehow manage to often overcome the pollution or destruction of their home, being fished almost to the point of extinction, environmental changes. Seriously though, now, they're dealing with involuntarily being medicated via what we flush down our drains. It's a good question on how being "drugged" may impact behavior and ultimately the survival of a species.

Check out this documentary. There are several others that have come out in the past few years and they are real eye openers. Fish and amphibians that are hermaphrodites due to living in waters with ever increasing levels of birth control hormones and estrogen mimicking compounds.

A First Nations reservation near Sarnia's petro chemical compounds where little boys are becoming rare, no longer born alive or unable to reproduce due to estrogen mimicking compounds and endocrine disrupting chemicals destroying their reproductive systems.

I wish every man woman and child in Canada were able to watch these two documentaries because it might just change the way we live and it will definitely change our current perceptions of Canada's fresh waters.

Pure water is something we grossly take for granted, like it will magically refresh itself instantly and indefinitly.
