I have a few young Honduran red points ready to go. they are between 1/2-3/4 of an inch, TL. they are not nearly ready to breed, but this would be the perfect time to get a few, to see if pairs will form. That's what I did.

These are beautiful fish, that are cousin to convicts. they are much more civil, but require fish that are willing to stand up for themselves. They are snail eaters, and can and will clear a 75g in about a week. Right now they are too small to care about, and actually have some in with some baby brigs ATM.

They prefer a diet that is slightly higher in vegetable matter, then proteins, but they do need protein. They are very slow growers, these fish were born sometime in november, I thought they would never get big enough. When they reach full size the males will be about 5" and the gals will be 3". They seem to prefer to have a slight hierarchy, with usually 2 females to a male. I plan on keeping a female from this batch, once he picks one.

I am not wanting to ship at this point, as I have no shipping supplies, and these fish are slightly sensitive. It's pick up only, and I live on Vancouver Island.

I am going to ask for $5 per fish, I think it's a fair price, and as they get larger, I will ask for more.

Does anyone want pics?

Ok, well here are some.

These are the grandparents of the ones up for sale:

I don't have pics of the little 'uns as my camera sucks, and they are to smart, and fast.

I can try to get some, but I doubt I will get anything more then a blur, If I do get something postable, I will post it later.

I got one that I think is OK of the babies...

They are still here, but I am going to take some to the LFS hopefully this week, or next, depending on how this week goes...

I am willing to ship some of them, also.

They're beautiful JT! If you're willing to ship, maybe you could try posting them on one of the Cichlid sites that has a decent number of Canadians? I think there's one based in Canada, isn't there?

Certainly worth selling to local aquarists....we had five bags of 3-4 fry each at our society auction in Calgary yesterday, and they were quite popular, getting a good $20-$30 per bag.

I actually have no clue if there are any canadian based cichlid sites... These are my first, and only cichlids ATM.

Besides, everyone here is my first pick, I haven't even posted them at BCA :p

 'Nuff said. I don't advertise there anymore either.;)

PriceNetwork.ca is Canadian and full of fish enthusiasts. They're mostly Ontario based, but its free.

Otherwise, you could try posting in the Cichlid section to see which Cichlid forums have a good Canadian membership. I could search them out but I wouldn't know a good Cichlid forum from a bad one for the most part...lol.

Mr. Mykiss might be able to help you out - seems he knows everyone who wants anything.

I know you'll move them - they're stunning & your price is great, its just a matter of the right eyes seeing them.

Have you tried GVAS (http://tgvas.com/) forum? Lotsa Islanders there!
