Well it only took a few months, but I think I have a breeding plan going here. I like to get all the fish I want and then figure it out.

This Lyre and a few others are making time with the Red-eye Pastel male Sword.

Red-eye Pastel male:

These ladies are entertaining a Red-eye Hifin & a Red-eye Red male. For females the tank has Lyres, Red-eye reds & Hifin Red-eye reds:

My fave Hifin male has the most Lyretails with him, along with a regular-finned Red Swordtail female. There's another young male in the tank temporarily until I figure out what to do with him:

The star:

My fave red Hifin male and a Redwag are romancing the ladies in this tank, which includes Lyre and a few regular finned females. The Redwag I want in the Lyre line so that's why he's there. The Hifin I want in the Black line so there's black regular-finned females destined for that tank too:

This is the group with the Platy I'm hoping to cross to a Hifin Swordtail. He has Hifin & black Sword girlfriends as well:

Not exactly everybody, but more than enough for one post....lol.

OMG. What stunningly beautiful fish! With fish like those and that breeding plan of yours, the results can only be indescribable.

I guess I am glad I'm not breeding swords... I'd never be able to compete with that type of quality. Kudos to you!:notworthy:

What a nice response to start the fishy day with, thanks. I cheat though. I have learned to pay the bux for show stock rather than try to breed it up to par myself. With a lot of traits/qualities it could take a decade to get what I need. Not all of them are show stock by a long shot, but it gets the genes in there for me. I've found some beautiful store stock too - some of which you picked out so pat yourself on the back  .

I can just see you telling your girlfriend that she can't move in. There's another woman and she has irresistable assets.

Then, if you live through that, you can mention that you're after her Swordtails so you need the room for another tank. :swoon:

I never stop wondering who's going with whom, and what tank they'll be in and how i'm going to set up and if Shawn's going to tolerate anymore...lol Trips are good. Maybe while he's gone he'll forget how many tanks he left behind and won't notice a new one here or there...LOL

ROFL You'll be one of those typical divorce stories ...

"But I thought everything was fine! He didn't say anything, he just went out for cigarettes and didn't come back..."

:twitcy:

But yup, the planning is half the fun!
