I have a koi pond over 12 years, size 6'X12'X4'deep, recently found out its Ph is very high, any suggestion I can lower the Ph apart using chemical lower Ph solution, somee people said I can use live peat moss, is it work? Where I can find or please give me more idea.
Thanks!

If you've had the pond all these years, the pH is what the Koi are used to. The importance is to have a stable pH. According to this info I found from the Koi Club of San Diego (http://koiclubsandiego.org/library/ph.php), they state "For our Koi ponds, the pH should normally be between 7.0 and 8.5, but it is probably acceptable to be anywhere between 6.0 and 9.0."

I dont know anything about ponds or your fish .
I do use peat to lower PH in my shrimp tanks and it works fine for me and does not take long to lower it usually over 24 to 48 hours ... but my tanks are only 15 gl's so not much is needed .
