Its great to see the ideas coming through for rebuilding after Katrina. When you hear something like "We lost 80 to 90 percent of artificial-reef habitat during the hurricane," you expect to hear the words 'gone & that's that' after. But they're determined and that's admirable.

Those artificial reef pyramids are really cool. I wonder what native corals they have in that area and if have any conservation project going on to save the corals. I imagine that those artificial reefs look like an underwater city.

Its amazing how focused on it people have become. Better late than never I guess. It won't look very natural, but neither would no corals at all I suppose.
