A while ago, while running the dogs by the st-lawrence river, I found the floating root parts of a plant. Some baby roots and shoots were starting to show. I pocketed it, finished the dogs' exercise and, returning home, I rinsed the plant and stuck it imn my 29gal's gravel.

It's a small pond lily. leaves are roughly 3" diam. I got a few leaves near the gravel line and now 3 surface ones. It seems to like my T5HO 6500k lighting and some ferts.

The length of the stems seems to be adjusting to 1.4x the water depth.

I wonder if it'll flower ?

Neat! I would hope it would flower if it's liking your light and ferts.
