Do you feel a kinship with your fish? :skeptical: It may be that eons ago we had a much closer relationship. The study in evolution has many gaps which scientists are always researching to try to fill. Most of our knowledge is based on fossils. Muscle development of lungfish are being studied to determine how some ancient lungfish evolved into tetrapods of today.

We're like gobies. Birds and bats take to the air and swim through it, but we hop along as classic bottom feeders.
It's really astonishing to see the work done by DNA researchers on the human genome, as they identify the genes we share with other descendents of our shared ancestors. The combination of fossils and now DNA evidence is jaw dropping. These are exciting times for learning.
