I had extra wood and liquid rubber left over from the tank build, so thought I would make the sump the same way. it's 12"deep 48" long and 11" across. I'm using sponges and dish scrubies. Might put gravel in the middle part for extra space for bacteria to form.

I used an old tote that got busted in the move for the dividers. and got the pump from princess auto for 45$ last year.

I got the round scrubies at the $ store I'm using 20 bags for a total of 120 for 20$ 4 bags of sponges so another 4$ and 2 90 deg elbows @ 3$ or so; for the overflow. The rest of the stuff I had. I did a water test last night and no leaks. ::D:

Glad to hear it. That's the most important part.
