View Full Version : Male Green Sailfin displaying

Although I have watched my male Green Sailfins display like this (both for females and to challenge other males for dominance), it's something I've never been able to share (except in the odd photo... never a video). So when I saw this You Tube video, I thought I'd share it with you as one never truly realizes the size and beauty of their dorsal until they start displaying.

Cool video! I have never had success keeping mollies long term. Even when I use salt.

Mollies (especially sailfins) can be tricky because they like harder water and rather pristine conditions. I was lucky to have great success with them but I had to buffer the water with oyster shell and also did very large water changes (60%) every week. I also used a small amount of aquarium salt in the tanks. I think the fact that I started with some excellent robust stock most certainly helped.
