:chatterbox: ??? wow, over where I was it was only raining a little bit and I sleep in the basement. I didn't even notice any rain.

I hope you didn't get too soaked! did you go fishing?

lucky lucky...
it was raining really hard then letting off all day
i thought i had it beat, so i throw on an album to celebrate my victory over the elements when i look back to water just rushing in my front door...

i look out side, and all bloodyhell was coming out of the clouds, hahaha
it was really givin'er...

so i sat there and watched my room fill up with water, i can laugh about it now only because i've already pulled out the rancid carpet the water left behind..

but my room is another building (not quite a shack, but not quite a guest house, haha)
so at least its easy to clean up, but i have to admit, i wasnt laughing too hard about it last night, hahaha

blasted torrential downpours

Wow! 3 inches of water?... lots of work to clean up... did much stuff get damaged? I hope not. Water can do a lot of damage.

No stories here (being on the 7th floor of a building at the top of a hill)

Sorry Ryan, guess we were posting at the same time. Sounds like a big mess... good that you can laugh about it now.

Amazingly enough I had the city crews out blowing off a fire hydrant while all this rain was coming????????????? Apparently the rain that was falling was not leaving enough water on the ground for them. Nothing like crossing a river to get in your driveway.

LOL Maybe they were trying to manipulate the levels of a certain body of water or something.... or figured you wouldn't notice  .

We had some flooding in our bsmt, not really the main concern which is the now copious amounts of mold we have growing on the walls. I guess it's been leaking in there for some time but it was running against the baseboards and under the wall so we didn't notice it until a carpet of mold started growing on the carpetless floor:confused:

Anyways, long story short it's looking like the bsmt walls will need to be demolished as there may very well be a crack in the foundation somewhere that needs to be fixed as it is a constant seepage although thankfully it's a little slower now that the rain has stopped.

I shudder to think how much mold is behind those walls.......

Other than that we had some minor yard flooding and our garage had a few drips here and there but thankfully we didn't have inches like every other time lol.
