I got some of the Cholla Cactus wood from Melody the pecos and shrimp love it.

I boil it for an hour or so then submerse it in a plant only tank weighed bown by rock till is stays sown then put it into the tanks.

When I first got my amanos (around six of them), they were very active and visible in the tank for the first week or two, and then it got really hard to spot them. After some reading on the net, I heard they can feel more confident to come out when there are larger numbers of them. I got ten more, and sure enough, now I see them all the time. I know at least part of that is due to their larger numbers (greater likelihood of seeing them in any given location), but it does seem that a large proportion of them are visible at any given time.
