Puppies, Fish & Critters must have heard that my B-Day was coming up, because they had some Longfin Lyres in when I dropped by last night. Had to be in the mall anyway and couldn't just walk past the store - that would be rude  .
They need a lot of work, but they had such a variety of colors that I couldn't resist snatching up a bunch of females. There's a couple that have good Longfin potential, and the rest can be cleaned up by introducing them to better Lyretail genes, which I already have in the house.
They had some nice Redwags, brick red in them & a white belly, which I like on the deeper reds:

There was also a Tux, which I don't have in Lyre form, so I had to have her too, along with a nicely gravid Neon. The Tux will need some color brought into her line's finnage & the lyre cleaned up, but she'll bring me the color form a generation early:

I bought one regular-finned male because he's an exceptional Paint, with the red-rimmed 'coral' eyes. I love the Paints and also don't have that in Lyre form, so he'll be put on a nice red Lyre female. The Neon has Pineapple potential - subtle gold sheen there:

The Longfins have a Hifin dorsal and a long, draping tail. A couple of wags have the best potential for a decent Longfin, so I'll take the best of their fry and give it a whirl. The rest will get to keep their Hifin & have their lyretail cleaned up, so we end up with decent Hifin Lyres.
Just when I thought I finally had the breeding programs figured out.... .
