so i got 4 silver sailfin molly's from blaine but this guy (my only one) has no interest in them at all - a couple could be too small but the other 2 are a good size. Any ideas of how to get them together? put them in a tank together? or just wait it out.
here's the girls

Beautiful fish! You answered your own question - they're not ready yet. He still sees them as fry. They'll send out signals when they're ready and he'll pick right up on them. I believe there's a hormone involved too, but don't quote me on that.

Strangely enough, if they were with males of the same age, they could be impregnated. I've read that there's a size factor too, as in the female has to be larger in stature than the male for the appeal to be there. That would explain the sibling thing. We'll call that all theorizing though.

That last female looks like she may be expecting though - could just be the angle. Maybe her Brother hit her?

that's exciting! if she gets larger i'll put her in the maternity tank.

I'd say just keep them together for little while, fry will come.

The female are just starting to mature, as soon as they're ready, he'll know ! ;)

Looks like my little silvers are doing well, they look happy !
