I did water changes all around this morning and have taken the two new moms out of the fry tank. I've put a devider in the new 20 gal and they are in one side recovering with lots of plants. How much time should I give them to recover before breeding them again? I want them to be well rested and healthy. One dropped about a week ago and the other it's only been a day or two.

Someone needs to tell the last one to get it over with!! LOL The reason I took the two new moms out is because the last one was beating the suffing out of them. They were more stressed from her than the male.

All is going well though, my lyre male (wannabe:laugh: ) is in the 25 gal with all of his ladies taking care of business. He's one happy guy! I have the blue mm platy in there with him, and lyretail orange female and two highfins.

my large orange and black fem still looks so big and square but the black eyes are definetly ALL gone. Should she still be so big? My smaller orange one went back to slim within a day of her drop. Mind you she wasn't carrying a bus load either..lol poor thing

Not all of us snap back after birth - I did, but it all snapped back into the wrong places.

Trust your gut Kristy - if you think she needs more time, give it to her.

She's at the spa right now...LOL on vacation and loving it.. although I think I'll have to chuck another female in there. She's so used to the cranky one beating on her all day that I think she's a little lonely. She just sits there and comes right over to the glass when I check in on her. She usually is a little more shy.
