Ever price those rock/ledge aquarium backdrops?

This DIY version (http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/pfk/pages/blog.php?blogid=86) is an awesome look, described by the author as "I layered the polystyrene sheet as if it were a strata of sedimentary rock (shale or slate) that had been turned upright, as in an earthquake or uplift I think the geologists call it."

It is fully illustrated in a step-by-step format.

If you make one, I'd love to see it!

i was looking at making my aquarium more appealing and was out pricing the backgrounds as well. and seeing as im so very cheap and handy, ive made 3 now out of my own designs and they hold up well, in total it cost me about10-15$ each once you factor in the price of the polystyrene, paint and the cement. the best part is that you can make them whatever you want instead of just buying whatever theme china ships over this week.

Yes, it is from many years ago. It was originally one of the bogs on Practical Fishkeeping. I tried to do a search for it but came up with nothing. I'm assuming they prune old log entries. Too bad the author hasn't posted it somewhere else.
