Someone put in some effort!
The layout is well thought out, the software is all tweaked, the colors and graphics are swank, the rules are fair and sensible. I'm loving it! oh except for:
No winking smily
This is a gross oversight. The winking pumpkin simply isn't enough. Studies have shown that internet sarcasm is frequently misunderstood without a handy yellow winking thingy.

Thanks guys, great to see you both here.
Mr. SBB, think about it - ME have and incomplete smiley set? I drove Jay NUTS about smilies...lol...still doing it too. There's a winky smiley to the right of the reply box, 4th row down, 1st in the row. ;)

Something's up there - heard it before. Jay will be here soon - he's the resident tech. I'll look but he's more familiar with it than I am. I probably did something....lol.

Mr. SBB, try logging out, clear your cookies, then log back in. Permissions look fine. The problem appears to be inconsistent but I don't think Jay has arrived yet to look at it. Its worth a shot and it will keep you busy :witch: .
Thanks for taking the time to let us know & we apologize for the glitch. We're still in quarantine so prob's are bound to show up, but I know its a pain.

No worries, only thing bugging me is derailing a suggestion thread with troubleshooting.
Maybe I should suggest a support/testing section? hehe

LOL We don't sweat the small stuff here, and you ARE suggesting that we fix it. We will probably delete the thread and start a new one periodically as things get addressed/implemented, so people don't have to scroll through stuff that is already done with. Maybe a summary at the beginning that says what we have and haven't addressed, and if not, why it can't be done. No worries. I appreciate your good-natured patience. :)

Welcome Mr. SBB,
Sorry I wasn't around when you were encountering some initial glitches. We'll definitely get to the bottom of this. :Think:I'm not exactly sure as to the source of your problems but I have changed a couple of permissions, which I think may be the root cause, so when you do have a moment, the first thing I'd like you to try is to PM me. Thanks. I do really appreciate your patience. With your help we'll be able to tweak everything to perfection! :D .

I initially had a few issues too, but everything seems to be working well for me now so whatever you guys did obviously worked. Great Job So far!
Quick question,
While playing in the pm's section I noticed that there is no way to edit your pm once you've hit the submit button, other than to delete it. Am I simply not seeing an edit button? or is there really not one available?
It's not a hugely big inconvenience, but I sometimes forget to add something or decide to take something out and it's a bummer if I have to either delete and start again or send another pm lol.
If this option is currently not available, will it be at some point?
Thanks again for job well done!

PMs in this forum are sent immediately to the recipient (not to an outbox from which they will be sent later). That's why you can't edit them. Note, that when you delete them from your 'Sent" Box you are only deleting your copy of the message.
If you request a read-receipt, you will know if someone has read the message yet or not and entitle your follow-up message (for corrections, additions, etc.) accordingly.
i.e. Follow-up message title could be something like: Re: 'title of last message' - MORE info or Re: 'title of last message '- IGNORE
I hope this clarifies things for you.
Thanks so much for bringing this up. :) It's something we need to bring to everyone's attention. And I will look into whether or not that a deferred send could be made an option at a later date.

Mr. Mykiss, I just used you as my guinea pig as I wasn't sure what the soft delete would do....lol...so I cleared your repeat posts.
As to your posting glitch, I checked when I recieved your PM last night and didn't see the posts here from you, so you weren't going any more crazy than you already are;) , it was just another glitch.
I appreciate everyone taking the time to let us know about these things. Permissions, for one thing, were difficult to test because we had them all....lol. Thanks again for your patience!

Not sure if this is happening to everybody, but when I visit, some codeing appears at the top. I've reloaded, then rebooted to see if it was my end that was causing problems. It doesn't happen anywhere else on the net. Here's my IE info

Hope this helps. Feel free to delete.

Thanks so much for letting us know. Don't know if it has happened to anyone else. If it happens again, or to anyone else, could you PM us with the exact time it happened, if possible.
Any and all info is greatly appreciated.

I love it when a community works together - lots of eyes & ears are great!
Have you seen the error everytime you visit, or just today?
Jay, I'm guessing a scripting error - take it to the vB forum, would be my advice. It could be a conflict with one of our bells & whistles. Its not server side. Could be that it needs a later version of Java Script or something since its the latest release, but if this is the first time that BC_Kron has seen it, it won't be that.
Edit: Just read it again - if you've edited any of the HTML, let me know and I can fix it. If not, its scripting would be my guess, incompatibility on one side or the other. I'll go read the source code and see if I can spot anything.

I don't see any tag issues. Try the support forum Jay, see if there are any known issues.
Thanks again for your thorough report, Mr. and/or Mrs. BC_Kron ;) . We'll get to the bottom of it and work with you further to resolve the issue.
