I can't imagine how huge the list would be if you kept more than 'a couple'.

Thanks...most have come from LFSes...we are fortunate to have a good selection of good LFSes here in Alberta.

Is it indeed a P. palmas palmas and not the more common (and in my opinion much nicer) P. palmas polli?

Sold to me as Palmas but i knew it was an albino senegal. Maybe you guys can help confirm that ID.

I see he is admiring his own reflection, probably thinking "If nothing else, I am a very handsome species."

Very nice albino senagal bichir, where did you get him? I wouldn't live him in with your community fish as he gets bigger and can fit the other fish in his mouth he will eat them.

I understand that. THe only fish he will be able to eat when he gets big are the serpae tetras. The other fish are angels, plecos, a severum and two clown loaches. They will all be moved into a 130 together once the funds become available.

 More tanks :twitcy:

I got him at a nice little store called petzone in sarnia. Great place but rarely get "rarer" fish in.

Yes, watch your pleco. They might suck the slime of your senegal.

Whould blackskirt tetras or skirt tetras be big enough to live with bichirs?

Whould blackskirt tetras or skirt tetras be big enough to live with bichirs?

You might be able to get away with it if the blackskirts were fully mature and large, and the bichirs were one of the smallest species, like P. senegalus or P. retropinnis.

which store(s) are you talking about?!?! I've got a 90 with a baby arowana (225 comes in about a month) and would love a couple of bichers to add to the tank along with my motoro ray. I ususally only see senegals, but want something a little more rare.
