We would appreciate your input again, if we could please. :) Its you we want to make happy after all.
We would like to specialize, or at least focus on, specific topics, be it fish or anything to do with fish. What topics would you like to see in depth? Particular fish groups and other things, such as our Nutrition section.
We can't get to a point where we're 'cluttered', but with some organization I feel that a lot is possible. However, if only one or two are interested, its something we can cover in existing forum sections for them, but not have a topic to itself. Speak up no matter how obscure or popular you think the suggestion will be - you never know how many others are looking for the same thing, and we'll find a way to accomodate you if at all possible. The sections that we currently have were decided upon by either what we have expertise in, what we saw a need for, or what is popular elsewhere. They are not written in stone.
The idea, as mentioned before, is to create your ultimate fish community while still providing comfort for everyone. We have the social atmosphere down, we have the marketing down, we have the business sense down, we have the technical and design down, but we can't create something for you without knowing what you want. We know that it takes more than a pretty face to be of substance, and no matter how nice we dress things up it won't do us any good if we don't listen to members.
That is very important to us because we want a friendly, popular forum to talk about this fascinating hobby of ours in. We don't need the ego boost of owning and lording over a forum, we want to work as a team. We don't need to push people around to feel better about ourselves, nor do we have the attitude that we'll do what we want and if you don't like it, too bad. We need a nice place to hang out and that's the entire point of this project. YOU are the heart of this community and if we ever forget that, we fully expect you to kick our sorry behinds :laugh: . Can't see that ever becoming necessary though.
