I stumbled across this product at TheGab.com. It is manufactured by Mazuri (https://www.mazuri.com/Information/Products/Products.asp?animal=aquatic&Products=1) and is a powder mix of various ingredients intended for the group dietary needs of fish. You mix it with hot water and have instant gellatin food. It was mentioned at The Gab as an additive to their homemade recipes. They have foods for all sorts of exotics actually.

I was pondering it as both an additive and something a person could make quickly and add some of their own food too. I'm sure you couldn't add too much or it wouldn't set, but it should be able to handle at least some additivies.

Just wondering if anyone has tried it? Thanks!

Yep my goldfish go nuts for it. I add vitamins specifically for goldies to it, liquid garlic and paprika. I usually mix everything I want to add to it first and then dump it all in together.

I got it in the States when I went home for Christmas and I'm going to get some more when I go back next month. I was sure it was available in Canada. Lemme look again and I'll post a link.

Clarke Koi in Scarborough Toronto has it. I know the owner Randall and he's a pretty nice guy. He has the Platinum Food I believe but am sure he would order you anything you liked. He has some really nice Koi and was kind enough to show me how to do Baytril injections and fish scrapes.

You can download his catalog I believe but I think you have to either call in the order by mail...I may grab some some him if I can't get in the States and can always share.

Just in case this thread comes up in searches in 2011 and the other thread is lost in the jumble, Uncle Rick (http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/auction.cgi?disp&viewseller&Unclerick666) also has a gel food.
