Here is the latest incarnation of my 33G. I'm just waiting for the dwarf sag to fill in a bit and I will be adding some val or other tall plant to the left and right sides. The ammonia and pH monitors are just temporary. I will be removing them as this is my main display tank. Pretty boring at the moment but it should look ok once I get more plants in there.

Here it is after getting some corkscrew val in there:

I think thats pretty much everything I want to do to this tank. Now to let all the plants grow in a bit.

The corkscrew val looks really nice (as you know I just have the regular kind). How tall does the corkscrew variety grow?

I really like the look of Corkscrew - it picks up the light and has a texture of sorts. Very nicely done.
When ya coming over to do all of mine? I don't pay so much, but I make a mean homemade pizza & fudge. Of course, you'll have to foot the bill for the decorations & plants too, but its really really GOOD fudge!

Its the old fashioned stove-top variety too. Should've waited until Sunday - I had to make Maple Walnut & Chocolate Almond for a party the kid was going to, that's why it was on my brain. I drizzle dark chocolate on the MW & white chocolate on the CA and VOILA! Mick Bites!

Figured it was time for an update. The val didn't survive, it kinda just slowly melted away. So I've replaced it with Hygrophila difformis instead which is much easier to grow. Current tank occupants are 6 dwarf neon rainbows, 11 harlequin rasboras (lost one to the intake of the AC70 before I switched filters), 1 German ram (his mate died recently), 1 SAE and 1 bristlenose pleco.

Looks great! Even your BN pleco is posing right up front. Any chance of close-ups of the dwarf neon rainbows?

Crappy camera + fast fish = no chance in... well, you know where.

I hear ya... hmm, maybe put a 'camera' on the Birthday or Christmas wish list. I know they're not cheap... hence why I haven't bought a better one.

Its filling in quickly! I think I like the Hygro even better - it adds texture AND a different form of growth.

Is the Hygrophila defformis easy to find in stores? I would like some plants that grow fast and those are pretty!!!

You shoud be able to get difformis just about anywhere. I got mine at Roger's Pets in Surrey.
