Well I may have lost my female Green Sailfin Lyretail Molly but she did give me several batches of fry. I introduced some of the oldest into the 70G and their papa immediately has shown interest (even if these little females aren't old enough for bear young yet). I am expecting to receive a new mate for him shortly but in the interim he is displaying for the young ladies. I couldn't resist taking a picture of him tonight.

They are such beauties - fancy yet still wild-looking. His lyre is so wide & well-shaped - his blue-blood breeding shows.

 Thanks. Because he's green, it's difficult to get a good picture of his Lyre due to his coloring and all the plants in the tank but yes it is very wide spread. (Now if he would cooperate by swimming in front of a white rock....:nah: they never cooperate when you want them to.

Isn't it always the way that the stunning looking fish are the hardest to get a great picture of? He does look beautiful, can't wait to see the pics of his new mate when she arrives.

Thanks. I will post pics of her... maybe she'll be a little more cooperative for the photoshoot. . I guess I should see if I can train them to move into position on cue. :nah: Somehow, I don't think that's gonna work, so it'll be the usual 100 shots before I get a decent pic.
