Classifieds Rules:
The Classifieds section (with the exception of Local and On-line Merchants area) is restricted to private sales only.
Please state a price, general pick-up location and if you will ship the item. Prices are mandatory as preferred by the general membership.
Please combine your ad's into one whenever feasible and do not post multiple threads at the same time for each product you are selling. For example, if you are looking for or trading 4 different species of fish, please list them all in the same ad, rather than post a new thread for each species.
To post pictures you must first upload them to a website. Then click the 'Insert Image' icon and enter the URL.

These are located in the 'Post Icons' section at the bottom of the post edit / reply window. Please add the appropriate icon to your ad. If you forget to add the Post Icon, or need to change it (i.e. when an item is sold), you can add or change it by clicking the http://www.canadianaquariumconnection.com/forum/images/buttons/edit.gif button in your initial post in the thread. Then click the Go Advanced button. Scroll down & select the appropriate Post Icon and click the Save Changes button.
If you would like to critique an item that you see in the Classifieds, please start a thread about that product/item in general under the proper forum topic. For example, if you don't like the brand of filter someone is selling, please start a thread about the brand or filters in the Equipment section. Attempts to negatively impact sales will be deleted and the poster warned.
Trades should be posted under the 'Swap' section. Please use the format provided for swaps for maximum functionality of the system.
We will not interfere with or referee member disputes over sales/purchases. It is up to the seller who they wish to sell to and up to the buyer who they purchase from. Please utilize our feedback section as a general guideline and otherwise keep disputes off the public boards.Additional Notes:
All Livestock, Plants and Aquarium Equipment for sale are now to be listed on the Auction Site (http://www.canadianaquariumconnection.com/ClassAuction/) as:
A 'Buy Now Only' item (this replaces the existing classifieds ads)
or
An auction item (which can include an option to buy it now)
All feedback from the auction site is to be posted on the auction site.
Feedback from the remaining classifieds (Swap Meet & Misc. Classifieds) is still to be done through our existing iTrader feedback.
The Freshwater Livestock and Plants (http://www.canadianaquariumconnection.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=16), Marine Livestock (http://www.canadianaquariumconnection.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=17), Aquarium Equipment (http://www.canadianaquariumconnection.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=18) have been moved to Archived Classifieds and will remain open for viewing but will be closed for posting. That is to ensure that an ad recently placed there will still be available for viewing (and sales won't be lost).
