I understand that clown loaches will eat snails but would they also eat my small - 1/2" - shrimps?
Any other alternative remedy?
Thanks

Yup, they'll eat your Shrimp. There are smaller Loaches but I suspect they'd all eat Shrimp. You could maybe get a couple of Yo Yo Loaches temporarily & remove as many Shrimp as you can from the tank before you put them in. I'm sure you could rehome the Yo Yo's in a month or so when they're done cleaning up. If I still had mine, I'd loan them to you. ::D:
In the meantime, remember that they'll only breed according to the food supply, so cut way back on the food. Good luck!

Thanks Melody,
I don't know exactly what kind of snails they are :nah: other than they are not the ones I ever got from you:no: . It's a planted tank with shrimps and 12 neons. Food disappears pretty fast with neons. I treat the shrimp with your Bottom Bites every couple of days. I do weekly water changes as well. All things are flourishing in this tank including those blasted snails!

They like algae & dying plant matter too, so food isn't necessary you shaking half a container in either...lol. Sounds like a healthy tank with a healthy bunch of snails!
You could start gathering them up & selling them as puffer food :twitcy: . You can bait them and scoop them out too. It doesn't erradicate them in my experience, but it helps.
