hello all,

i am changing my piranha set up to a community tank since i cannot have both due to the limited amount of space we have.

anyways, i am planning of putting tetras, danios and some shrimp on my tank. it is a 38 gallon tank. i just finish decorating my tank. i added the white sand, some plants and driftwoods.

which of the two will fit the community? i went to big als today to get some light for my tank and saw the red nose shrimp priced at $6.99 ea. are they really expensive? they are less than half an inch in size.

how about the cherry shrimp? how much are they? any comments, suggestions?

thanks,

(attached is a photo of my tank. still little bit cloudy..)

One thing to consider is the fact that Red Cherries will reproduce in the home aquarium fairly easily.

From what I understand, Red Nose shrimp do not easily reproduce.

Both are attractive shrimp, but depending on conditions, the Cherries can maintain and grow their population.

Ditto the above. You can probably find Cherry Shrimp for much less than that too, depending on where you are.

Nice tank!
