These hi fin pepper cory's are spawning like crazy!!! They just spawned again. The breeder net is filling up and i'd like to move them into the 2.5 gal aquarium (standard wrectangle, glass). How can I safely it so they won't get sucked up in a filter. They're so tiny. It's too hard to keep the breeder net clean without letting them ecape in the the rest of the fry tank. Thanks!!!!!!

Got something to wrap around the filter intake? foam block cut in an X and slipped over the intake?

I do have one of thse teeny little green wrectangular filters with suction cups that sticks on the inside of the tank and makes bubbles. Would that work? Or would they still get sucked up? They're about a week old now. How deep should the water be in the tank? Someone mentioned that they need to be closer to the surface at some point in development?? Thanks again!!!

Anything with holes on the intake that are larger than the fry can suck them up. I use a piece of foam stuck over the end of the intake in tanks with fry in them.

I would recommend a sponge filter in the fry tank.. gives them great filtration and allows them to be able to graze the sponge for all sorts of goodies

Another sign of addiction - who would ever have thought they'd see sponge scum as 'goodies'? :GEEK:

I use these http://www.hagen.com/canada/english/aquatic/product.cfm?CAT=1&SUBCAT=114&PROD_ID=01003310010101 on my aquaclears.
Works like a charm.

Hi guys/gals,
I moved them before my crazy 7day 14hr/day work streak and they're doing very well. I have tons of happy little cory piggy's growing quickly.. thanks.

I use the mesh refilable bags for the AC it works really well, with an elastic.
I used to use the sponge with the X but found that my shrimp would still get in the filter.
