So I was given a very pretty Water Lettus today and since I don't have a pond I'm wondering if it'll grow in one of my tanks. I have one tank that gets tons of sun all day and I also have a coralife light (130 watts) on it. Incedently it is a 90 gallon if that helps at all.

I'm sure my fish will eat it anyways but I just wondered. Its so pretty!

Thanks!

It is a tastey one, but it will grow reasonably quickly under good light. Its awesome for hiding fry and it sucks the nasties out of the water.

When I got my fish from Melody, there was one tiny little water lettuce, it has grown well in the tank and like Melody says, hides the fry and sucks up nitrates.

Because this tank uses a sump until I ghetto rig the intake box with some heinous DIY solution  , no fry in that tank. I'm wondering if I should take bets on how long it'll last before it gets shredded. I think no longer then 5 days with my little cuisinarts.
