Two of our past Aquarium society meetings have been about these guys. I am growing fond of these. Have been doing some reading, and think down the road I might start with a small tank with some shell dwellers. Which of course they did not spend much time on. So far the one I like is Neolamprologus multifasciatus. I am wondering if these guys are common. If not would like to know which are the common shelldwellers, so I can do some more reading on them before I jump into this. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am also new to the world of cichlid and I am setting up a shell dweller tank as well.
I choose the Lamprologus Ocellatus because of their gold coloring and I will get them from Pat aka 'mykiss' maybe next week.
You can PM if he still have some.
Good luck!

I can't help much, but I think you're on the right track with clubs. You can try the OVAS (http://www.ovas.ca) board for the fish too. Good luck!
