Red tegus, Tupinambis rufescens....the one in the back is about 63cm, the one in the foreground is about 46cm....they should reach close to 146cm when mature. Great guys...really like their fruit and stalk about the house like little Komodo dragons.

Interesting critters. Sounds like they might get a little big to be house pets, but I guess it's really no different than having a couple of large dogs in the house ( other than the hair ).

Took me a while to figure out you weren't talking in strange code there:) I'm guessing gor bith means got both and Ted Tegus first identified them?
