This sounds like a nice day trip! Methinks Mr. CACAdmin should take his Sister on this one...

Prince of Whales, BC's largest whale-watching and eco-adventure company, is now bringing travellers an adventurous alternative to the ferry between Vancouver and Victoria. Onboard the boat, an exhilarating excursion transports guests from downtown to downtown and highlights the rugged beauty of the west coast, including BC's most exciting marine mammals (seals, sea lions and sea birds) and whale watching.

The trip departs Vancouver at 8:15am and Victoria at 3:30pm, allowing passengers the opportunity to explore Victoria. Optional packages include a visit to Butchart Gardens in Victoria or a one-way harbour to harbour flight for the return. Tours will run June 1 to September 16 leaving from Vancouver's Waterfront Station downtown. Rates begin at $119 CAD (approximately $112 USD).

Well, Mr. CACAdmin did not take me on that trip:no:. We had been on a whale watching tour out of Tofino two years ago in a 23 foot whaler. It was fantastic and very exciting. So this year the regular old Queen of Saanich just had to do.

We did see some humpback whales in a distance from the ferry coming down the inside passage. Not too exciting though.

However, we did go on a grizzly bear watching tour in the Khutzeymateen Valley. It is a grizzly sanctuary just two hours north of Prince Rupert by boat. We were out in the boat for 7 hours. It was really cool to watch them in their natural surroundings.

Sounds like a great trip so far! Did you check out the fish policies on the airline?

No, I haven't yet. But will do so. I will also post a thread to see if anyone else knows about the policies. I will however buy some bottom bites from you before I return. I see that the fish just love them.

Now that could be a prob - I haven't had time to make them since I went back into the formal workforce. I'm out myself... maybe I'll buy some from Jay...lol.

This time you would have been a cheap date... you wouldn't have been able to eat anything.:( I'll wait until you're all healed up and I've saved up my pennies and we can have lunch the next time I'm in Victoria. :;): (and you can point me in the direction of all the good fish stores in town.)

... and he can bring me home a doggy bag of live fishies. I'm sure he just forgot that part.

Don't worry about the bottom bites. I just thought if you had lots, I would buy some. Taking care of your fish and all the other things you used to do has had to take a backseat to working out of the house and travelling on business. I certainly understand.

You're such a sweety... are you sure you're related to Jay?

That'll teach 'im to make fun of my eyesight!

:BOLTS:

BUT seriously though, if it wasn't a 6 hour process to dehydrate each bunch, it wouldn't be that bad. Maybe I'll manage to get some done over the weekend, my fish need some so I really have to get at it. Thanks for understanding!

Of course, of course. (Don't know how I missed seeing that post... a freudian slip, maybe? :;):  )
