COURT HOLDS BELGIAN ISP RESPONSIBLE FOR FILE-SHARING (http://newsletter.infoworld.com/t?ctl=180BC0C:8402710A50857025DDBD0900BF1D4279EFF2 9049075316B4)

A court has ruled that the Belgian ISP Scarlet Extended is responsible for blocking illegal file-sharing on its network, setting a precedent that could affect other ISPs in Europe, according to a recording industry group.

Only a matter of time... :wideeyed:

There's so many ways to share files...how could they monitor and stop it all?
That particular ISP is done for unless this extends to all the ISPs in the country/EU
This should be an interesting story to follow...

The 'how' is considered to be the problem of those facilitating the crime I guess. They're determined to stop it one way or another. Probably be some new technology developed.

Maybe it will be like spam - they'll blacklist & block innocent people & companies based on spoofed e-mail headers and pretend they're making an effort to stop it.
