Hi Guys,

Two of my tanks (150 & 90 gallons) have been driving me crazy as of late with algea blooms. No matter what I do unless I get all the way in there with my hands and the scrubber I can't seem to get at it all. Until today...:;):

I used my Aqua Gloves, placed a pair of brand new loofah gloves on top of the a.gloves which I picked up in the dollar store. You could use just the loofah gloves alone as well but being I had the Aqua Gloves I figured why not. Worked like a charm! Here are some pics below of said gloves.

I'm not quite getting it, maybe a picture of someone modeling them?
In this heat, and what with it being wet work, maybe include appropriate attire?

Basically I put the long one's on first (mainly because my hands are getting destroyed with all of my tanks and gardening) and then I put the loofah one's on over them. The loofah gloves are similar in the material used for algae scrapers and I just wipe my hands around the tanks with algae.

When my camera isn't dead I'll take some pics.

Thanks for the tip and the pics Kat. I find myself up to my armpits in the tanks but have never felt the need for the aqua gloves... being a guy, I have little concern about my hands being 'destroyed'. :twitcy: by playing in the water. But the loofah gloves might be the trick for stubborn alage. Question: are you able to rub green spot algae off the glass with the loofah gloves or does that still require a razor blade?

Mr. SB, either you're being too subtle for Ms. Katalyst or she's playing innocent and ignoring you (methinks the latter  )...so don't hold your breath for pics of her modeling said gloves.

Yep it all comes off...The algae that is! I got the gloves initially when I was learning how to do scrapes and inject a koi that was dropsied. Its easier to grip them that way. I hardly ever use them now but it has come in handy when having to pick up a dead snail. :Eeewww:

And I wasn't playing innocent I missed that part entirely...Still waiting on the mortgage approval and have the house on the brain. Along with 3 billion new livebearers.

Starting to like the calendar idea a bit more Jay? :;)::laugh:

Sorry Katalyst, to explain: My cheeky suggestion a few days ago to help promote the site was a Calendar of the "Girls of CAC". Posted in the mod section so as not to be inappropriate. There goes that idea, apologies...

ROFL You're a nut... lucky for you, I like that in a person.

Ms. Kat, I had no idea that you were such a pretty little thing. And to think I liked you all this time! Not anymore!

Well, maybe, since you're safely married now...lol.

But back to the topic at hand, nice to know that you're all that with brains too - great idea!
