I looked in my pond this morning to see a Gold Marisa in a crevice in a rock pretty much out of the water and only being kept wet by the contant barrage of water from the fountain spout (as you can see).

Was he trying to have a bath in the filtered water? My first reaction was to test the parameters in the pond... turned out they were just fine:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 10
I realized he was simply having breakfast. Food particles must get caught in that crevice (just barely below the surface of the water) and he was having a feast!
Dumb snail? Nope... pretty smart I'd say...that is unless he shares this info with all his buddies in the pond...lol.
