I was out shopping last night and ran into the Cops for Cancer (http://www.cancer.ca/ccs/internet/standard/0,3182,3172_368278__langId-en,00.html) at the Scottsdale Mall here in the Lower Mainland, BC. I don't know if its a national time for them to work the streets or not. They raise money specifically for kids with cancer, a concept that started in Edmonton in 1994.
They were taking donations as well as selling bears for $10. Lemme tell ya, all three of the bears I bought are super-soft & cuddly! I got them for my two nephews and neice. They all have alpha-beads around their neck, saying their name is Buddy, along with a 'Cops for Cancer' card attached.
So I said to the officer "Our police officers are out on the street selling BC Bud?"
Good thing he had a sense of haha  .
Kudos to our officers for supporting kids with cancer!
