I had bought 6 albino cories from Mykiss at least 2 years ago. They were living in my 90 gallon along with discus and discus temps (84). A couple of months ago, the discus are out and temps are down around 76'ish.

Well, a couple of days ago, I notice eggs on the back wall just under the spray bar. I figured it was my angels as they were being snarky with each other chasing madly. But I couldn't figure out how an angel could lay eggs right there. Silly me, I notice a large cory with eggs and then depositing. A feast for the tank so next egg laying I scraped off and moved into my fry tank in a breeder net. I couldn't believe how sticky these eggs are! So now some are still white but others are brown. So hopefully, they will hatch and I'll have baby cories!! Microworms are at the ready for them.

Jeez, how many more tanks am I going to need?!! I bet I get home tomorrow from over here in Van and probably find my guppies have given birth too. The rain sure does get things moving for all my fish.

Thanks, will do (or at least try). I find I can't get decent pics of fry, they are too tiny. But then again, could be the operator of the camera!

So all I have to do is go away for a day and come home to new babies. So far I have 8 new guppy fry from my blue red bicolors and about 6 albino cory fry. I came home and thought all the eggs had fungused. Took out the breeder net and was going to clean it up when I saw something really, really tiny wiggling away. I stuck it straight back in the water, got a 5 gallon set up and moved the baby guppies and cories. I can't believe how tiny the cory are.

Best setup would be a sponge filter as opposed to the mini AC (has a prefilter sponge on it)? Not as much current and the sponge will have lots of goodies? Is it best to keep cory eggs/fry in a tank by themselves? The guppies are newborn also but are bigger; wonder if they will eat the cories, themselves being smaller than a sword fry?

Off to search the site for hopefully an article on what to do with cory eggs and fry.

but woohoo!!!

Could always keep it in a breeder net in the tank till it gets bigger.

Then again this is just me thinking out loud since the only thing that will give me babies are the snails!

Yah, I should have put them in a tank without the net for better circulation, I'm thinking? But first time experience for me, at least some hatched! It'll be forever before I get a pic of these tiny little squirmy guys!!

When it rains, it pours, heh?

Well, you see, you've got to get your feet wet with some livebearers in your tank. Then you'll be swamped with fry!

I'm scared to start ordering livebearers, I think I'd need to be restrained. And I think Melody would be getting a lot more panicky emails/boxes. OMG I'm turning into her rofl...She's really not shipping *me* fish, she's housing her fish at my house! ROFL

Well, which livebearers really appeal to you? If I had to choose which are my favs in my tanks, it's platies, guppies, and swords (at least that is the order this moment ~ wait a bit and it might change!!!) LOL
