I found this guy growing big and strong in my Fig tonight, right from under a fake frog LOL...any idea on what type of mushroom this may be? I pulled it out just in case one of the cats thought it looked tasty:wideeyed:

No idea what kind it is but when it comes to mushrooms, where there's one there's usually lots more:wideeyed: Have you found any more?

Holy cow mushrooms?!? That's unbelievable to me, I can't even keep my house plants alive let along grow something additional!
Just make sure you pluck them all...Otherwise you may come home to your cat gazing at its tail for hours while Pink Floyd's The Wall movie is blaring off in the distance. :twitcy:

Hehe, I've sifted the soil and haven't found any more but this guy had some nice roots so I may have another popping up in its place shortly. I actually never thought that they could grow indoors like that and look so darn healthy lol. I have no idea where the spore could have even come from, the soil has been in that pot for at least a yr and I had gotten indoor soil for the Fig when I transplanted it so there shouldn't have been any spores in it to begin with...it's just a mystery to me lol.

I like the frog or is that a toad?

I think it's supposed to be a frog, it's rubber and croaks when you squeeze it lol. Maybe it's a Toad Stool hehe

My fave is the number of calls I have had from people that have found frogs, lizards and snakes in houseplants that they have bought from major retailers.

I bet many of those calls start with "Ma'am, stop screaming..."
