Thanks guys! I have taken some other courses since high school, but this is a big one for me. After being out of school for over 20 years it is a little scarey.

Thanks Kat. I may have to take you up on that offer. You definitely have to move closer! Niagara area is a very nice place to live. Lots of old houses. It is only a little further for hubby to drive to work. ( might even be shorter if he take the US way)

Congratulations Pam!! It'll be a bit scary but once you start and get settled in, everything will work out fine. It's the "been away from school for 20 years" and wondering how you will do. You'll be fine.
So what does the Food and Nutrition Management course give you along the lines of work?

I have to be nice until I he takes me to get the cories I found though lol.You are so bad, and you did not learn those tricks from us. We are all :Angel:here, no tricks up our sleeves.
Does this mean you'll be making us People Crumbs as well as the Critter Crumbs all of my fish love? Can already do that. I am a cook now. I'll have to come up with something in our next trade just for you.

Supervisory position. Our FSS left and I filled in full-time for awhile doing her job and loved it. All the paperwork, ordering and overseeing the kitchen in a nursing home. I still do her job two days a week now, mainly for the orders and some of the paperwork. When my the Director of Services who is also a Food Service Sup. leaves in about ten years I could possibly take over as FSS. Also when the DOS gets swamped I will be replaced as a cook for the extra days she needs me.

Thanks David. I will have to make time for my fish, not giving them up. I will try to find time to pop in here once in awhile. It will be my stress release. I am just going to have to stay on top of my assignments so I have time to visit.
David is sending me some Occelatus (shell dwellers) and some more cherry shrimp.
New blood lines to add to what I already have for both.

Just checking to see how the course is going. Are you enjoying it? Lotsa work and studying, I'll bet. And then of course, somewhere in all that you have to find time for waterchanges, and all of life's other demands. (notice I listed water changes first... priorities of course. ) Glad you still can find time to drop by.

The course is busy. Lots of work. This first term is about communication, leadership etc. What would you do if? Public speaking ( two presentations with minutes and agendas). I am hoping to have my first unit done by Wed. and in the mail. I have to balance things out yet. Work has been crazy on top of this. A co-worker and I are sharing books and everytime we plan to work together one of us gets called to work. You are what is keeping me sane. I may not post much but still checking in for a break. My reward going to the Hamilton Auction and meeting Kat there. Plus next weekend I am going to a breeders house for starlight plecos. Can't wait.
Thanks for checking on me.

Sounds like you have your priorities straight! Once I've done all of the courses required for work, I want to go to university online and specialize my Management Studies in Marketing. The Management Studies is a general thing and I'm special so I need a specialty  . I'll be watching how you juggle things.

Good on you Pam, I lost all control when I went there. I need constant supervision when around fish or aquatic related stuff.

No, more like this...
Get home from work, do school work while maid does the rest.
Of course, I can't afford a maid until I get the degree, so in the meantime my son is going to get used to a frilly white apron. If he complains I'll launch into the usual slightly exagerated birth story...
THREE WEEKS of excrutiating labour. Did I whine? (yes) Did I sulk? (yes) Did I refuse to do it? (yes) But you're here aren't you? So here's some icechips honey, breathe regularly and get the job done with minimal screaming.:;):
