"The London Aquaria Society is a non-profit organization, established in June 1956. Its main objective is to promote interest in the breeding and raising of tropical fish, and also to provide a means through which hobbyists may exchange ideas, gain information and display their fish, sharing them with the public in the London area.
Benefits of LAS membership:
> Education - To help further knowledge on aquaria related subjects.
> Jar Show - To help you learn to assess different qualities in a variety of fish.
> Breeder's Awards - To encourage members to breed and raise fry of the knids of fish that interest them.
> Monthly Auction - Helps members to get bargains in assorted new and used equipment, fish, plants ect. (70% goes to the seller / 30% to the Society).
> Fellowship - An opportunity to share insights and exchange ideas with people having similar interests.
> Library - There are a wide selection of books available to members, including freshwater and saltwater.
> Discounts - Take notice of resellers who are kind enough to offer discounts to Society members.
> Annual Events - Large shows and auctions are accessible to our members with information provided in newsletters and this web site about time and place.
Fee for a yearly membership into the LAS are as follows:
Family $25.00
Regular $20.00
Junior (16 and under) $15.00"
