I LOVE THIS SECTION!!!

Sorry bout the caps but I am the Manager of Finance for a HIV/AIDS non-profit and thank the moderators for putting this section in here.

Please remember that when giving to a charity that your time is just as valuable to them as is your money and sometimes more. Charities can receipt you for your donation of money, but unfortunately non-profits that are not charitable organizations also need assistance. Please remember them when you are giving of both time and money as well.

I personally donate about 10-20 hours a month to 3 non-profits that I sit on the board of directors for. I sit on a Toronto, a National and an International Board of Directors and the rewards (aside from the trips I have been able to take ;) ) are extremely gratifying and the friendships made with people I have met worldwide will last a lifetime!

Good stuff! Charity is all a part of the atmosphere we like to have around here - being helpful and aware of how lucky we are can only contribute to a good atmosphere.

Please feel free to promote any events, fundraisers etc. here!
