For those in Calgary or Edmonton, in the future, shopping trips to find that fish in each other's LFSs could become an 84 minute trip by high-speed rail. According to this article (http://www.news1130.com/news/national/article.jsp?content=n081004A)a such a link between Calgary and Edmonton is economically feasible.

The downer: estimated cost $130 return trip.:swoon: Mind you the cost of taking the ferry from Vancouver to Victoria (if you bring your car... a necessity to get to the LFSs) for folks in Vancouver and Victoria is $106 return trip and the ferry takes 95 minutes (and doesn't include the wait times).

Ahhh, you go like the wind. However, by the time they get it built you might be driving a rocket-fueled car and will be able to beat the train. (isn't that the way of technology?)
