So I just got back from a week of camping at Lakelse Lake in between Terrace and Kitimat with the GF and her family. It was a great week, lots of sun with a bit of rain and LOTS of mosquitoes. We went horseback riding, ATVing and water skiing.

Me on an ATV:

Me falling into the lake:

Everything went great until the drive home when this happened:

A deer in the middle of the road hit us as we came up over the crest of a hill on the highway between Fort Fraser and Vanderhoof. We had to get two different tow trucks to get the car to Prince George where we had to leave the car. We finally got back home late last night in a rental car after 19 hours on the road.

Here's the poor little bugger that hit our car:

We're not sure yet what will happen with the car but at least we both got home in one piece. All things considered, we were pretty lucky. I think next year we'll be flying up there...

OUCH! Not a great ending to what looked like an otherwise fun week. Is everyone OK? :wideeyed: (other than the poor deer of course... and hopefully it was quick for him... looks like it).

That must have shook you up pretty good. And now of course you have the hassles of figuring out what to do about the car (especially in that you're here & it's in Prince George).

You'll need another holiday to recover from this one. Good luck sorting everything out.

That's horrible! Glad to hear that you guys are ok, if more than a little psyched out. Otherwise it sounds like an awesome vacation.

If there's anything I can do, don't hesitate to ask. :hugs:

Geeezzz I'm glad everyone's ok... everyone is still ok right?? I know things can pop up later. I hope everything comes together quickly with the car for you.

All the best,
