How long does it take for the worm to die & fall off?

This is all I could find..The whole link attached below has a lot of info. Hope your fish are on the mend soon!

The female anchor worm will remain on the fish even though it is dead. The worm will disintegrate and fall off of the fish in time. There is no need to pull the worms off of the fish. This tends to rip the "anchor" out of the flesh and increase the chances of secondary infections.

Thanks for the info. My fish seem to be healthy now with the exception of the worm still attached. I was thinking that it was probably dead and wondered how long before it falls off. Seeing it makes me want to pull it off, but I won't. I have searched for info, but could never really find much. That link you gave me has great info. Thanks so very much for all you help.
