Inspiration: Taylor, my 11-year old daughter. Like other parents of Type One children, I am weary of living with the fear that my child may not wake up one morning. I want a cure before my daughter turns 18. ~ Kyle Balagno

Please support this amazing endeavor, which may end up in the Guiness Book of World Records and most importantly, help find a cure for the many children who cope with Juvenile Diabetes.

They will have a webcam so you can follow their progress, as well as a blog.

You can make donations online (http://www.teamh2v.com/index.php?content=donate), or support the riders as they ride through your town. They are looking for bike clubs to help as well. Funds will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

 we should all go meet him when he is in our city and tell him we read it here. He could hear it all across canada!!! I will make a donation for sure!!!!

That's great Chris! I guess making the donation is the easy part compared to what he's doing.

What a great dad! That's quite the undertaking.... and for a very good cause. It must be tough to watch your kid struggle to cope with diabetes (instead of being your typical carefree kid).

My boss trains at Innovative Fitness and has rode with these guys before at other events. I just got home from driving him out to Hope so that he can ride the final leg with the group tomorrow morning. Should be quite a sight, seeing that many riders roll into town.

You'll have to scroll down the page for some odd reason, but there's a pic of them in The Province (http://www.canada.com/theprovince/news/story.html?id=a1306294-ce16-46a6-bcec-247245c9cde1). They didn't quite hit their goal YET, help them out if you can!

They also got TV news coverage last night so that ought to help them reach their goal.

Oh good - I don't watch TV so I didn't realize that... well maybe the occasional cartoon if the kid has it on, but I deny that I'm watching that too. I don't even know what channel the program guide is on or what channels we have or even which remote to use....lol.
