I think my clown plecos may have bred !!
Why? Cause I see the male waving his fins and fanning !! I have never seen them do this before !! But I have seen my male ABN's do this when getting ready to breed, or once they are sitting on eggs !
But... I see the female fanning as well ! But not as much as the male. And she is in a cave, and still very plump... and he is up behind a log, in a hole in the back of it, where all I can see his his tail fin sticking out waving... I tried looking closer with a flashlight, but I still can see nothing....
I wish I could tell ! For there are 3 bolivian rams and an angel fish in this tank... and something would have to be done to prevent these first time fry for me from becoming snacks ! And I dont want to disturb them if they are just getting ready and have not actually bred yet.... *sheesh* !!
I wonder what set them off? I now see very obvious bristles along the males tail, so maybe they just finally matured? I also started feeding them some blood worms now and then... and I also cut way back on water changes in the last week... since getting 5 stitches in my right hand! LOL!
Their filter was also clogged to the point of a dribble... so maybe that triggered them also? I was just cleaning the filter when I noticed all the waving fins going on! LOL!
Well... heres hoping !! I will be keeping a close eye on them thats for sure !! ::D:
