I thought it was just us, finally having our Summer in the Fall. Yesterday on the news they rattled off the weather for a few cities across Canada, all sunny & warm.

Our Summer wasn't much to speak of, which is fine by me since I don't like it too hot, but others have been disappointed. Now that everyone has taken their holidays for the year, the weather is gorgeous.

How is Fall shaping up for everyone? I love this time of year - Nature's canvas. And what did you do this Summer? I worked, and worked and worked some more.

Strangely enough, I read that BC had a warmer Summer than average - sure didn't seem that way.

Calgary had the hottest July on record this year. August was gentler, but I'm very thankful for the AC we had installed.

We had so much cloud here that it didn't seem hot, but you have a point there - I had air conditioning both at home and at work for the first time.

Yes, air-conditioning must definitely makes a difference... a nice change for you. I found this summer hot but not for all that long... it was a short summer. (Last year was ridiculously hot and dry for months on end!) Temps at this time of year (around or just above 20) are perfect in my opinion. However, I do like the sun.. today's rain reminds me of what's to come.:(

Toronto had the driest summer in 50 years. Where I live north of the city we had watering restrictions, so my modest backyard has become hay. It's totally dead.

My wildflowers all seemed to survive though.

Well with the wildflowers, at least you have color amid the 'hay'. Wildflowers are always quite hardy. I think it's our carefully cultivated varieties that are more fragile.
