Aplocheilus lineatus *Golden Wonder Killie*
Common name: Golden Wonder Killie
Scientific name: Aplocheilus lineatus gold
Family:
Origin: Sri Lanka and India
Adult size: 4-6 in.
Tank Specs:
Minimum Tank Size:15 gallons
Water Parameters (PH/GH/KH): soft 6.5-7.5ph
Temperature: 68-80
Special Requirements:
Suitable Tankmates: Eats smaller fish and can nip fins.
Minimum Group Size: 1
Diet: Likes live or floating food.
Sexing: males are more colourful and have longer fins.
Breeding and Reproduction: spawn quite large eggs in mops or moss that hatch in a couple of weeks. Parents will eat fry!!!
Breeding:
Notes: Easy fish to keep and breed but not really for community tanks. Mine nipped other fish!!! They love mosquitos and would be good for ponds.
