Any one on this forum got some HC they don't need or want to sell? Can't find them locally.

Hot Chillies? :laugh: I'm going to assume you mean Hemianthus callitrichoides? Just thought I'd clarify for those who aren't familiar with it.

If not, I'll give you a great deal on Hot Chillies. :;):

If you find someone let me know! I only know of two canadians who have ever had it. One had it thrive, but got tired of it and gave it away to a freind. Then his freind killed it under the exact same conditions.

Its hard to find because its hard to keep.

I used to grow gobs of the stuff about four years ago before it became a big hit. I thought it was messy and fussy so I turfed it out after a couple of years.:eek:

I used to see it regularly at the Yonge & Steeles Big Al's near Toronto.

It's messy? I got rid of my riccia because of that same reason. After 2 weeks of huge pearlings from the riccia I gave up.....filter was getting clogged, light was getting blocked from the floating pieces. Too much upkeep for me.

It's funny how its so much in abundant in the states but so scarce here. Anyways thanks for the info.

Still looking for some, so if you find any, give me a heads up.

I found it grew into huge mats that would become buoyant and float up, causing the mess.

If your LFS gets Tropica plants, they should be able to order some for you.

The guys in the US were begging me for this stuff a few years back. I did end up sending some down there, but IIRC the receiver's fish ate it!
