Origin: Eastern Indian Ocean to Western Pacific Ocean
Adult size: 6 inches
Tank Specs
Minimum Tank Size: 20+ gallons
Water Parameters (PH/SG): 8.1-8.4pH; 1.020-1.025 SG
Temperature: 72-78
Special Requirements: Note that this clown is an aggressive species.
Suitable Tankmates: Other reef fish, nothing predatory though, and no other clownfish.
Minimum Group Size: One or a pair... if not a mated pair they will fight.
Diet: Omnivore... will eat most anything. Feed frozen foods, and prepared foods.
Sexing: Females larger than the males
Breeding and Reproduction: Egg layer, has been captive bred
Notes: This is the only clownfish that does not belong to the genus Amphiprion. There are two varities, the white-stripe, and the yellow stripe. This fish is not a beginners fish. Also, do not net this fish, as its check spines may get caught in the net.
Its host anemones include The bubble tip, Corkscrew tentacle, Sebae, and the Sticky Carpet anemones.
