You've heard of community fish, but have you heard about community plants?
Theyre the best kind of plants, very friendly.
No, I haven't been drinking.
I added my latest bunch of plants to the 90G tonight, not planted mind you, just in there until the weekend & I can do a proper job of it. I couldn't believe how many there were and how nice they look, I'm going to enjoy getting them planted.
I was smiling because at first I thought I was going to be doing Kat a fave & shipping her some fish, but then Ed, her fish benefactor, also dropped off the aforementioned beauties. Then I got to thinking about just recently when I picked up the plants for Mick because he doesn't have that kind in his town, and HE sent me a bunch of lovely plants too.
So I looked around the tank and, purchased or gifts, I have plants from at least 10 fellow hobbyists in that one tank alone. I haven't a clue what half of them are called, but I remember where each came from. Kinda gives the tank a warm, fuzzy feel. ::D:
Imagine how many I'd have if I didn't kill most of them!
Anyways, I wanted to take the opportunity to mention how much this community atmosphere of ours rocks. Sure brings more meaning to the hobby!

I agree totally, this is by far the friendliest site ive been to, and i have got fish from quite a few people on here, all gave extras:smile:
Melody i just hope you still have room for more plants lol, im bringing quite a few down around the 20th oct. Thats if my wife is better:wideeyed: she was admitted to hospital last week with gallstones, i had to rush her to emerge, where she sat all day and night, no rooms available, so after 6 days in bed hopefully today she will get some action, sending a scope down her throat to see whats up, anyway this is the wrong section to be venting about hospitals lol, i just hope her gall bladder removal doesnt coincide with our trip down to VAN to see ozzie osbourne, and go plant and fish shopping

Thanks Melody:smile:
She got the test done today, she does have a gallstone, but that doesnt seem to be the problem, she only has one valve coming out of her pancreas ,instead of two, and that has caused panceatitis, which now means an operation to widen the existing valve, and we thought she might have been home today:no: .
I tell you what, it really does make me appreciate all she does around the house, PHEWWW, how do you women get it all done ?? between visits to the hospital, taking care of our three year old, washing , cooking ,ughhhh im exhausted lol,
Thumbs up to all you mums out there, you are awesome:smile:

This place is run by the kind of people I want to know, so I guess it only makes sense that we attract the same kind of people. ::D: Simply awesome group here.

Yes they are awesome people, i feel like i have friends here even though i havnt met anyone in person lol, i have met mr soggy, very nice guy.
I guess this post should get back to plants  . Today was one of the few days i didnt even get a chance to look into the tanks, I was out the door before lights on ,and back home after lights out, I like to always check and make sure the c02 turned on, sometimes the needle valve gets stuck and i have to give it a tap, so i dont even know if that came on today.
Anyways Melody im looking after your plants. they have grown quite a bit in the weeks since they have been moved from the big tank into the smaller tank, we should just about get that 90g of yours looking like a jungle soon:smile:

Yessiree, if I don't kill them off it should be the jungle that I've always wanted soon! I want it totally wild looking and packed solid so its both functional and at least semi-attractive, if not the stuff that contests are made of...lol.
Its difficult having someone in the hospital, very tiring. I did it for 9.5 months after being medivaced to a strange city, so I can relate. Take care of yourself as well as her now, ya hear?

He is doing weird things, he was toilet trained, but the last few days has had a few accidents, ( pooeeey) sometimes i catch him weeping, and he says he misses mum.
its really sad, gives me a lump in my throat.
To make things worse, gramma has him, (bless her heart) but she doesnt know how to say no to him lol, and when i get him back he is a bit wild, takes him ages to settle down, but what can you do! it will be nice to have him back to normal:smile:

Where did I get the idea that you had a daughter? LOL Sorry about that. Poor baby, he must be very confused. Grandparents... wonderful creatures, but man do they like to spoil kids rotten. My Parents spent three weeks with my Son this Summer, entertaining him with tales of how rotten his Mother was as a kid  . I swear those people don't remember one single good thing about me....lol.
