ROPEFISH

I had trouble getting my ropefish to eat at first, but I found something they love: SCALLOPS!!! I buy plain frozen scallops from the grocery store, grate them up, and toss them in. My ropefish go crazy for them!

Also, my littlest guy developed strange red thread-like growths from his gills and his "third eye" shortly after he got here. I successfully treated it with Melafix.

My ropefish loves tubifex he attacks it when I put it in the tank. Mine beleive it or not eats flakes too.

'Third eye'?

Sounds like a possible case of monogenetic trematodes....most easily and successfully removed with Jungle's Parasite Clear.
